Re: Fish Oil Recomendation

At the Robb Wolf's nutrition seminar, he recommended 0.5-1.0grams of Omega-3's (in the form of fish oil DHA/EPA) per 10lbs of body weight. He did say that the top end was more for people having some metabolic derangement and serious autoimmune/inflammation disorders. Also, large doses will cause some blood thinning, so if you're on anticoagulants, or have bleeding issues, to be very careful. Pretty much your colon will let you know when you've had enough. He does support the Kirkland brand, and they (Sam's Club) do have a "triple strength" version that has 900mg of DHA/EPA per serving size. Nordic Naturals seems to be the "purest" version out there, but it is a bit pricey. GNC sometimes has the triple strength stuff there, and they can run "a buy one get the 2nd at half price" sale, that when combined with their club membership purchases, can be halfway affordable.
