Heart Rate

Hey all, just out of general interest, what is the lowest resting heart rate you've recorded on yourself and what programme were you on at the time?

Last week we recorded ours in the dental hospital and, because I was all excited and just eaten, I recorded a slightly disappointing 60bpm. Yesterday morning as I lay in bed it was 52bpm - just 2 weeks of CFSB after 3 weeks of sitting on my behind.

My record low was 49bpm, after several weeks of Gant Grimes' Hybrid programme.

Re: Heart Rate

It's not a true resting HR unless you take it 1st thing in the morning before you sit up out of bed.

49 sitting here at my desk after two cups of joe. I'm usually in the low 40's. I'm a competitive cyclist who does the CF 1-2 times per week for cross-training.

Re: Heart Rate

Has anyone that has posted a low resting heart rate NOT done a heap of long slow distance, either recently or at some time in his/her past?

If you DO have a low heart rate without having done long duration aerobic work have you just always naturally had such a heart rate?
