New $121.98 Squat Stands

I'm going to try to keep this brief.

I wanted a cheap set of squat stands. I remember seeing the ones on ebay a few months ago for $99 + $40 shipping. But they're not listed on there anymore. I emailed the seller a few days ago and never got a response. I did, however, find another set of squat stands on ebay that look pretty much identical. Except for the color. And the Brand. And the Model Number. And the price. The current squat stands are listed for $150 + shipping.

Here's a review for the OLD ebay Stands. As far as I know, these are no longer available. [w/f/s]
http://board.crossfit.com/showthread...t=squat+stands
Again, these stands sold for $99 + $39 shipping.

The current stands listed on Ebay are as follows:

[w/f/s]

So while I'm surfing around, I find that these current ebay stands are actually sold online through Sports Authority, Fog Dog, Dicks Sporting Goods, MC Sports, etc, etc. And for $139.99. Seems kinda fishy that all of these websites sell the exact same products for the exact same prices. Hmm... I can use that to my advantage. So, I surf all over for the best coupon for all of these Sporting Goods websites; I found 10% off, 15% off, $20 off, $20 off $120+, $15 off $150, etc. I do some calculations with the coupons and shipping charges through a bunch of the websites and figure out that the 20% off coupon for Dunhams Sports yields the best price - $121.98 delivered. I placed my order Wednesday afternoon and the UPS guy dropped them off Friday afternoon. They were drop-shipped from St Petersburg, FL which is like 3 hours north of here. [Also, I should mention that I went to the local Sports Authority to see if they had anything in stock and they didn't. Big surprise.]

Man, so much for keeping it short. Anyways, here's pics:

These stands are Valor Fitness BD-3

Things I've noticed:
The original ebay stands were white & black, these are black & silver
The original ebay stands were rated at 700lbs, these say the max load should not exceed 250lbs. Yeah, thats a drag, but I'm wondering if thats why the other name/brand of squat stands disappeared and these suddenly re-appeared in their place.

Anywho, I'm happy with them. Their main purpose is for a 2nd set of squat stands for the wifey. I squat in my cage (lol... that sounds funny) and this lets us both load up our own bars and do our own thing without getting in each other's way. Cant pass up $121.98 shipped either!

How do you like your cage? I feel like holding out for one, instead of stands. It just seems like It'll suit my needs better.

Any pics of your squat cage??

Nice stuff for the $ the stands where $88 out the door pick up only... guy there new about CrossFit and told me they supply Sports Authority w/ product. Probably worth looking into if your local. I'd call and see if they will give you the same deal w/ shipping...they where pretty cool. Tell them I sent you. Good luck. E

If that's the same one I am looking at (WFS), I am seriously considering that myself. One weird thing, though: Jesup Gym says the weight capacity is 500lb., but I emailed the manufacturer (BodySolid) and they told me 400lb. Of course, I won't have to worry about that for quite a while. At any rate, it looks like one of the best deals going right now.

Two questions:
Are the little racks sticking out low enough for benching?
Are the adjustable?

If yes I will be ordering some too.

Only 250? Go with the Iron Mind racks.

No offense, but I think you kinda missed the point. I was looking for a set of cheap squat stands for my wife. These were $121.98 delivered vs. $429 + shipping for the Ironminds.
