As for recovery of my legs, since holiday I have only used my legs on the PU/Thruster WOD so they were very fresh, remember I have been 'off cycle' for the week before and only back in training 4 days. AFter that active rest a day off seemed to come much much too soon.

Will do 5K on the roads later so that should be fun!!!
On the whole, you have a very fast recovery Scott, I've noticed that. Going for a weighted vest Cindy on rest days and such

It's hard to accept not to get a PR every time, and I know that. I'm going to hit Helen know and try to beat my score.

As for the 5k run, I think I'm going to give the 6k row a shot today instead, just to see how much it hurts

Good idea I will join you on that one, maybe make up a WOD :

6K row, 5K run for time.

Been meaning to do a 'Nate' now for ages, but always seem to have either a wrist tear or aching shoulders!!

6k row + 5k run is too evil for me today !

I'm on for a Nate sometimes soon as well, I love that one !

Run 5K on the road - 21:18 34

Went to gym first but realised everything needed rest from weights!!
That run was much harder than on treadmill with the wind, cars, hills etc, was on my hands and knees for 5 mins in the garden nearly meeting pukie afterwards. Was hot today so think a sub 20 on the road is possible soon.

Re: A Bears Tale

PS: Did you see the WOD for tomorrow, it's FIGHT GONE BAD !!!! I was secretely wishing for it.

I'll do it first thing in the morning. I don't remember if you had to sub anything, but I don't have any heavy medecine ball so I'll do thrusters with a 20kg plate, just so you know

Death or dishonor !!!!

Re: A Bears Tale

Awesome work, Scott!!! Almost a minute PR --- and the 100 PU in just 5.39 is stellar. I think you've solved the grip problem, no?

I threw down 600 on the 20-minute push-up challenge. I'm holding you partly responsible for the pain I'll be in tomorrow (and beyond). Show me what you got, brother! :

I have the medicine ball at the gym but I might use the 20k plate thrusters as plaster falls from the ceiling when i do wall ball!! Should be fun trying to hold onto all the stations at peak time this afternoon!!

Death or Dishonour it is, and anyone who trys to steal my equipment beware!!

Kirez. 600!!!! that is a fantastic score, only 25 reps short of the leading score which i thought nobody would get close to. I thought you would be perfect for this test with your pressing power and will power!!. I will give it a go either after tonight or tomorrow as I want to hit Fight Gone Bad this afternoon.

PS . i still have not worked out the multi quote!!

Re: A Bears Tale

Wednesday 25th June

FIGHT GONE BAD

Thrusters 20k DB - 30 / 27 / 24
SDHP 75lb - 23 / 20 / 20
Box Jumps - 23 / 24 / 23
Push Press 75lb - 19 / 15 / 16
Row Cals - 19 / 17 / 24

Round 1 - 114 / Round 2 - 103 / Round 3 - 107 = 324
Its a lot harder doing it on your own keeping an eye on the time and writing down the score!! Push press was more like shoulder press mostly as found it easier to force the reps to get my breath back.

Congratultions Richard, nice revenge for you from yesterday. :
