To all of you January newbies

You've seen some of the most delicious workouts CrossFit has to offer. If you started this month, you've had your *** summarily handed to you. Welcome to the family.

Here's hoping Murph or Fran makes an appearance this month so you can get the full treatment.

I'll feel even more like part of the family when I don't feel like I got my tail handed to me on a 'puppy' scaled WoD.

. My very first WOD was Murph back in August. I had NO idea what I was getting myself in for.

Re: To all of you January newbies

Guys, I am LOVING this program so much! I thought I was in good shape before I started. I had no idea! I am simply amazed at how this is stretching me to new levels of physical fitness I never imagined were attainable for me. At 43, I can truly say I am in the best shape of my life, and that's 21 years after maxing my PT tests when I was in the army and thought I was doing something awesome. The learning (I'm practicing handstands, I'm figuring out O lifts, I'm imagining the wonders of muscle-ups!!)...the cardio/strength gains....it's all got me so pumped! I started three weeks ago on Cindy and barely made it through 9 rounds (did my last 5 pullup sets on the Gravitron, skipped a set of pushups, was just dying!)...today I cranked out 14 rounds as Rx'd and was into my 15th when time ran out. Thanks for this community and for all the encouragement. HOOAH!!

Re: To all of you January newbies

Thanks for the welcome. I've been poking around here for a while, but just got into the forums and figured out how to keep this up while deployed. I did The Nasty Girls yesterday, so my thighs were burning until Cindy loosened me up. This is awesome!
