Is the CrossFit HQ gym open on Sundays? I will be in the bay area next week and Sunday is the only day I could drive over the hill to visit and hopefully workout. I am a complete beginner to CF (3 weeks of lurking and doing scaled-down WODs) and would like to learn more, are there any classes and/or instructors around on Sundays?

Hi James,
I believe there is a Sunday morning class at HQ at 8:30. It is not officially up, but you can see the schedule at http://www.crossfitsantacruz.com

Ugh.. My plane arrives SFO at 9:30am so that morning class is out. Thanks for the pointer to the site, I had no idea that was there :-) But in any case I'll probably drive over just to visit SC again, workout, and hang out downtown and have lunch and maybe sneak a beer or two into my diet :-)

James,

I assume you're talking about this Sunday, May 8. I'll be in Santa Cruz on that day and can meet you there for your workout. I can even write you a workout (I can think of all kinds of fun chippers).

Why don't you email me (see my profile) and we can coordinate schedules. Make sure you reference "CrossFit" in the subject line or I might mistake it for spam.

Mike

James, you might want to do a search for the words "Mike Minium is Mean."

Forwarned is forearmed. (Actually, I'd like to see what you cook up, Mike. share the love.)

I'll vouch for the M.M.I.M. comment.

His chippers rock. I would like to make it out too, but I am going to be out of town.

I hate being too busy for CF stuff.:lame:
