Just thought I would post our workout, in case Russ misses us too much. Today was a simple one, but I think it will provide the "pants" to mike Latches jacket of pain:

20 db thrusters/ 10 situps/ 1 KB Swing
19 DB thrusters/ 10 situps/ 2 KB swings
18 DB Thrusters/ 10 Situps/ 3 KB Swings

etc, etc until
1 DB Thruster/ 10 situps/ 20 KB Swings

640 total reps for those that completed it. Great work by all, I am sure that they will be hating me for a few days. I am not sure how nice a welcome this was to the firstimers ( gave modifications), but think they will limp back.

Tom,
That is sadistically awesome! It is going into my handy black book of pain for future reference.

Yeah, that was a good one -- started to feel it while walking to my car this morning. It was pretty funny (or at least distracting) to see some of the brawny members of the group hunting for progressively lighter DBs. (I, on the other hand, bravely traded down a level as soon as Tom held up the board with the rep scheme.)

Tom -- how many actually finished under the cutoff? (Which for those who weren't there, was 35:00 but felt longer.)

3 out of 9. April and Ewunke at 32 minutes (both former fitness and figure contestants, now looking for more "real" stuff), and Derrick, the Montgomery county fireman. Most everyone else was between 14-17 of the 20 rounds complete.

wait till tuesday AM

April came out too?

Well damn. Almost makes me wish I could stomach a workout at 10 AM. But my religion forbids it. I mean, I am religious about my sleep!

Actually, I was at CF Virginia with Larry Lindemann learning to kick @$$ with knives and sticks.

But the minute you do that evening class, Tom, send me the e-mail!

"wait till tuesday AM"

Thanks for giving me something to look forward to ... standing up at 6:30 PM from a 2-hour nonstop meeting was bad enough!

Just to try and be legit, I put myself through this today. A little limited on time, so i had to call it @ 27 min. Got through 13 full rounds with 2x 16 kg kettlebells for thrusters and 1 x32 kg bell for swings. Made sure to hit full depth and extension on all thrusters, which made it look better, but much slower.
