Cam, either do I. Think trail walk around a local Dam/Lake with dogs, IF anyone wants to do it, if not, we're talking sitting around and B/S'ing over coffee/tea and leftovers, with some big honkin Egg Skillet Omelets.

With that, the meatfest is closed. If you don't see your name on there, email me today.

If you will be arriving Friday, let me know about what time. I will be up and show you where you can pitch your tent.

THings to bring
SUnscreen
bug spray
chairs

I may be buying a keg, let me know if you want beer and I will figure out how much to get. there will be a 10 dollar beer charge. I'm thinking something (and I'm not a beer guy) like Yuegnling or railbender (both western PA breweries).

Events are

25 meter x2 KB toss for time, relay style

Participants will throw a kb (16 kilos for men, 12 kilo of women, I'll be throwing the 24) along a 25 meter course. Before each throw, the participant will do i push up for each throw. the kb must be thrown behind and over head (a swing then let go). THe kb must cross the 25 meter mark. THe participant will then carry the kb to the 25 meter line and then throw until the kb crosses the starting line. THe next participant will then take their kb to the starting line and begin.

Scoring is total team time.

Sandbag shuttle run

participants will carry (on the shoulder) a sandbag (50 for women, 80 for men, I'll be using a 100 lb) from the starting line to the 10 meter mark. THe particpant must then run back to the starting line (both feet must cross line) and back to the sandbag. THen the participant will carry the sandbag 10 meter to the 20 meter mark and then run to the starting line and back. THe particapnt will then carry the sandbag 20 meters to the 40 meter line. THe participant will then run to the starting line and back. THen the participant will carry the sandbag back to the starting line. DOne relay style.

Score is total team time.

Team 90 lb sled push and drag.

A 90 lb sled will be positioned at the starting line. THe team will push the sled (on the low postion) approximately 100 yards. Once the sled has crossed the finish line, the team must then pull the sled back. Each member must pull and push the sled and only one team member can move the sled at once. We will have rolling substitutions.

Score Total time

MGB (Meatfest Gone Bad)

there will be 4 stations about 8 meters apart. the stations will be box jumps.(still determining the height) both feet must land on the box.

keg (50 lb for men, 30 lb for women) floor to overhead. Keg must start on the ground and participant must show control at full extension at the top.

SLedge hammer (12 for men 8 for women). SLedge must make contact with the tire and the sledge must go behind the head in back swing.

Goblet squat (24 kilo kb for men, 16 kilos for women). KB must be held in front of the body. Hips must be below the patella.

Participants will be given 1 minute for each station. At the completion of 1 minute, they will have 1 minute to get to the next station using travelling burpees. The event cannot be started before the traveling time is up, but traveling may cut into event time.

Each station will be done once.

Re: J&J WOD and Meatfest May 30

Nice list of events! As a warning for anyone who might be on my team for the workouts, I'm still rehabing my lower back after a semi decided to crash into my car about a month and a half ago. I should be able to do everything listed, but I probably can't give full intensity.

I was planning on bringing a case or two of Yuengling, but if there's a keg, I won't bother. I will definitely be bringing a mess of deviled eggs. And sorry Renee, I won't be making my own mayo.

Jamie, I'll let you know by e-mail what time I'm arriving on Friday. However, I don't have a tent, so if anyone has extra room, I'm game. Otherwise, I'm fun-sized (not "short") enough to be able to sleep in my car.

Lurene "Mudder" Gruier
Jay "If it has a face, I have a recipe" Cohen

Crap, I forgot Anton, my training partner. He'll be there too.

As far as the beer thing, if you want to drink, email me and let me know about how much you plan on drinking.

So if I come do I get a nickname?

And I'm not even pretending to be in fighting shape. Maybe Dave and I will start a team for the have-nots.
