Like Phillip said, it's not a joke. I googled Bj and Marinovich and that was one of the vidoes that came up.

Re: BJ working with Marv Marinovich

But he's fighting lightweight again. This man is so disgustingly talented that it will probably be enough ...

Re: BJ working with Marv Marinovich

The problem with Penn is the same as many of the people who are told they are gifted when they are young; they get frustrated and give up when faced with something difficult. When they fail, it's not their fault. The recent fiasco with greasing is an example of this and it also explains why he switches conditioning methods often.

He needs to work past his "genius" title and become known for being a hard-worker if he wants to succeed.

Re: BJ working with Marv Marinovich

Well, in Penn's defense, he has been pretty darn successful. Also, he jumped up a weight class to fight GSP. He may not be the hardest working guy in MMA (nor the nicest), but I still say he is a pretty gutsy fighter. How many other great P4P fighters in the world today are willing to fight above their weight class (Silva v Griffin being the exception ... and even that may have been ordered by the boss)

Re: BJ working with Marv Marinovich

Yes he has been successful, but every fight he's had that was really hard he basically quit in. Which is a product of having so much early success and being told how great he is

Re: BJ working with Marv Marinovich

Marinovich is still training a couple NFL players. It is a lot more than a balance program. There are a couple good videos on you tube which feature some of the movements they prescribe.

Not to mention a couple of Olympians, so obviously it works for some people

Agreed.

And on another note, his other son, Mikhail, was arrested for breaking into the lockeroom at Syracuse where he plays football.

Re: BJ working with Marv Marinovich

Does anybody follow BJPenn.com? The fight is still 5 weeks out and BJ's physique is looking pretty good. Whatever he is doing seems to be working. In a couple of the vids they are playing with C2 Rowers.
