Squat and DL critique (videos)

Looking for some squat and DL critiques.

This is 4th set of 180 x 5 x 5.
I'm fairly new at the low bar back squat.
I apologize for the camera angle on the back squat. My camera holder was trying to make sure she got everything in the frame....

DEADLIFT:

Nice work overall.

Squat
--need to go at least an inch deeper, get that hip crease below the knee
--it looks like you barely start to break the hip before the knee when you start, maybe get the hips back a tad longer or more before breaking the knee. This will help load the hips and work all the muscles the low bar squat attempts to do
--Some recommend thumb over the bar with the fingers and instead of holding the bar pin it to your shoulders
--Why no shoes?
--Does the bar feel at the bottom of your delts? I wonder if for low bar if you can find a position a little lower. If you feel you have it locked in place this is a moot issue.
--Nice control on the way down.

Deadlift
--looks pretty solid
--Why no shoes?
--Why reverse grip? If your grip has failed in the past, try to save the reverse grip for your heaviest sets and keep building your grip so you can keep a double overhand grip for most of your sets. Or start to learn how to hook. Reverse grip can cause torgue and strain the biceps, so try to minimize its use.
--When you set up, does the bar touch your shins or is their space? Typcially, when you grabe the bar and bed your knee, your shin should touch the bar. This will help insure the right bar bath.
--Think straight up and down. On the way down sometimes you have to roll over your knee--this pushes the lift out of your mechanical advantage and will limit your progress. By having your shins on the bar at the start might help a little. Also on the way down, really push your butt back so it is easier for your knees to get out of the way of the bar.

Deadlift

No shoes is good...closer to the floor.

Peoples opinions differ on this next part. I follow Louie Simmons and Dave Tate in that the shoulders should be behind the bar and then you pull backwards with the shoulders whilst driving the hips. Shoulders in front of the bar at the beginning is the set-up for a clean or snatch....not a deadlift. Sit back more at the set-up, this will also help engage the hamstrings and hip flexors more.

Like I said opinions differ but all the biggest lifts at world wide powerlifting comps are done with shoulders behind the bar. Here come the haters!

Set your back in the deadlift(butt down and back, look straight ahead). Keep a nice tight arch. And keep the shoulders over the bar!!!!!
