Question Helen? About the run...

Where do most of you complete or perform the run portion of this workout?

My gym has a basketball court... I guess I will need to figure out 400m in there... Just curious on how others approach this?

Thanks

Re: Helen? About the run...

Our affiliate has measured the 100M, 200M and 400M distances in the parking lot outside.

We also have a 1 mile distance measured for when we do Murph.

Note: of course, the measurements above are in 1/2 the actual length because you are running out to a point and then back to the gym.

I just use the treadmill. 400m = approx .25 miles, cranked up to the highest MPH I can manage without falling on my face. It's not ideal, but it works.

Re: Helen? About the run...

This may be too late, but I used the numbers for a standard high school basketball court. The numbers I used were 84 x 50...so 268 ft (84+84+50+50) for one lap around. 1312 ft per 400m /268 ft per lap = 4.89 laps...5 laps is about 400m.

Re: Helen? About the run...

I have traditionally done it on a treadmill. If you have easy access to a door you could do it outside. Persoanlly, if it was an option between running up and down the basketball court or subbing with something else, I would sub. I did double unders today. Faster, but KILLS your pull-ups.

I take a dumbbell to my local park that has a .25 mile track and some pullup/monkey mars.

Luckily for me its from my driveway to the stop sign at the end of the street (200.33m one way). Unfortunately for me its uphill one way and downhill the other - and the downhill is about 95% into the wind.

Re: Helen? About the run...

i think 40 would be decent but, not great 80 would be way too many so think of a number that would take you like 2 minutes to do.
