Not on the UFC website yet - which only goes through UFC 90 (I think), but it is not likely to be earlier than UFC 90 which already has Anderson Silva as a main card.

GSP and BJ both want it -- wfs

MINNEAPOLIS, August 9 Its an old fight game adage that its harder to defend a title than win one. Tonight, in the main event of UFC 87 at Target Center, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre got things right in his second reign as champion, defending his crown for the first time with a shutout five round decision win over number one contender Jon Fitch.

And no one in the crowd of 15,082 cheered louder for St-Pierre than UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn, who is now looking to move back up to 170 pounds for a shot at redemption against the man who decisioned him in March of 2006.

Lets put the fight together, lets do it, said Penn.

Im a proud champion and Im ready to fight everybody who deserves a shot, said St-Pierre. I know BJ Penn wants a shot, and Im ready for him."
more here - especially the speculation that it would be at UFC 92 - wfs

Penn entered the octagon following the St. Pierre-Fitch bout and said he was ready to go. St. Pierre concurred. Let the hype begin.

St. Pierre versus Penn 2 is expected to headline UFC 92 on Dec. 27 in Las Vegas. Its a fight that will bring together two of the top-five pound-for-pound fighters in the sport and is as intriguing a match-up as weve seen in the UFC in a long time. Its a pair of fighters, both champions, at the pinnacle of their careers. Fans should be salivating.

From a skills perspective, St. Pierre is a more complete fighter then when he faced The Prodigy in 2006. Hes a better striker and a much better wrestler and, aside from his hiccup against Serra, has fought with greater confidence since that three-round battle at UFC 58.

With Penn, skills have never been the question desire has. Admittedly, Penn, with a penchant for surfing and Burger King, lacked training discipline earlier in his career. However, for his fight against Jens Pulver in June of 2007, Penn completely dedicated himself to MMA, got in the best shape of his life and stopped Pulver. Two more victories ensured, and Penn has made no secret about his aspiration to own multiple titles simultaneously. He should get his first shot in December.

Sherdog.com is also speculating on BJ vs. GSP in the next year, but no date has been rumored yet.

Re: Ufc 87!!

There's not really a good reason for them not to have GSP vs Penn at UFC 91 or 92. It would be a big fight that would sell well on PPV. There's not really anyone in their respective weight divisions they can fight that would bring as much attention. BJ can smoke all the other LWs and GSP can smoke the other WWs. Their match with each other was a war. Now they're both better. If Penn had put more in his gas tank he would've won their first fight. Now he has more in his gas tank, but GSP has improved significantly since then. It should be one for the ages.

Re: Ufc 87!!

Penn vs GSP would be exciting and despite the weight differences since their first encounter was, imo, the closest and hardest to call decision ever.

I was bummed for Jason MacDonald. The dude survived so much in his fight with Maia.

Re: Ufc 87!!

I assume this Penn GSP fight would be at welterweight? I think Penn is in a bit of a catch-22 1) if he comes in in great shape, he weighs 155-160# 2) if he comes in at 170# he is not in great shape.
