New Balance Minimus Ionix and Punching Bag

Anyone tried the new balance Ionix 2090? how are they for crossfit?

second question, what's the best free standing punching bag? I know that ideal bag would be a hanging banana bag. I dont have any place to hang one so next best thing would be free standing. been looking around but getting mixed reviews about the wavemaster xxl, MMA bags, etc. any input would be appreciated. thanks

I think you mean Ionix 3090, I am also wondering. They have some adds on you tube heavily implying crossfit type of workouts and movements...

IMHO
You will destroy a Wavemaster and other free standing bags in less than 6 months, they are to light I had one years ago, get at least a 100lb Heavy Bag and a Heavy Bag Stand. I use a Hydrocore 120 Lb. Heavy Bag with a century Heavy Bag Stand and speed bag platform. Iíve had my Heavy Bag Stand and speed bag platform for 11 years, the heavy bag is 8 years old. Both have held up extremely well. I prefer the Hydrocore bag over the standard sand filled bag for two reasons, the sand in the standard bag ends up in the bottom half of the bag making it hard as a rock and the top half like punching pillows, the Hydrocore bag feels like youíre hitting a real person. Shipping is cheap on the Hydrocore bag as opposed to a standard 100lb bag. I bought my Heavy Bag Stand and speed bag platform for less than $100 dollars at Big 5.

Rolando, yes i meant the 3090.

Pete, thanks for the input. only thing is I dont have space in my garage for a stand. i will have to leave it outside. another thing is you can't really kick with the stand. I would be afraid to kick the post by accident.

I have the free standing reflex heavy bag from Title Boxing. It uses sandbags as the base and is the most stable free standing bag I've used. Great for kicking and striking.
