I have been meaning to post this for a while, got busy, blah blah... Anywyay, I read an article in The Economist about a substance in the body called Peptide YY. Basically, from what I could gather, and can remember, scientists have isolated this substance as the body's natural hunger suppressant. Interesting for a couple of reasons...first, more of this is released after high protein meals than that of meals primarily consisting of carbs. Second, although the research is in its preliminary stages, already pharmaceutical companies are chomping at the bit to develop their own Peptide YY weight loss products. Anyone else out there heard anything more?

Scientists are usually funded by pharmaceutical companies...so what their findings are are usually geared towards an agenda...such as releasing the hottest new product for appetite.....drink water and fiber....that will fill you up.
