Calcium
This past month I've been using raw milk/kefir as my source for calcium. Before this time when I was strictly following the no-dairy rule, it was difficult to reach my daily requirement on just greens
I haven't noticed any negative effects from drinking milk but I've been thinking about dropping it from my diet.. Where do you get your calcium from? A load a greens, sardines, or supplements? |

Scott Kustes does a good job of laying out some of the misconceptions with calcium, many of which have been propagated by the dairy industry's marketing campaign. Many people don't understand that Magnesium and Vitamin D play just as important of a role in bone density as calcium. Apart from milk, you can get calcium from kale, broccoli, oranges, and sweet potaotes among other things. |
