Really nice Lincoln, but da*n that rating makes me want to spew just watching!!
How about some work limiting your rating to no more than 40 and trying to squeeze out more from each stroke? The knee re-bend is better than last time but could probably still do with some work. Also, a little more attention to maintaining posture. Stiffer trunk will transfer your power better to the machine. Not trying to take anything away from your PB, that is storming work and a huge improvement, but I still see that there is more speed to be had. Cheers, kempie |

Congrats on the new PR!! I got my C2 on the 17th and on the 20th I felt like the King of the World when I broke the 2:00 minute mark (1:57.0). I haven't really pushed it since but instead have focused on figuring out what works for me.
Where did you get those quick-release foot straps? It's a pain to have to loosen and tighten the straps each time I get on the machine and those would be really handy. |

No offense taken Kempie! The technique was moderately hideous to watch.
I tend to row very differently in sprints than I do with longer pieces. Not good, I know, but it's not as night-and-day as it used to be. Usually I row at about 24spm. Next time I give a go at a sprint like this, I'll try it with a slightly higher drag factor and a lower stroke rate. Also better pacing could probably cut 0.5-1.0 seconds off that time. But the next dragon to slay is better 1k and 2k times. Chris Lampe, those are standard foot straps. Just push down on the heel strap to get out instead of loosening the toe strap. Most of the time I row without straps actually, except when trying to set a pr like this. |

Important to point out that Lincoln has that whole Vortex thing helping him up in Sedona. C2 Rowing equivalent to a tailwind.
Congrats Lincoln. I want to be as strong as you when I grow up. |

Thanks John. I think if I'd had you screaming at me I could have cut another second off my time. Really died off at the end; the last 200 meters was a hatefest. So... with Kempie to coach my technique and you to provide encouragement, maybe I could get to 1:30!

Didn't get a chance to see the vid, but excellent PR! Unfortunately that last 150-200m never gets easier ... :-(
