What do you pay for MMA classes?

I was looking at some MMA academies around here, and the dues are $80-100 per month (8 hrs of class). I was curious as to whether that's typical or not.

Re: What do you pay for MMA classes?

I got lucky, my trainer is just getting a school started ( yeah, I know, but I've still got plenty to learn, so it works for me ), so I got four months for $100 bucks, 3x a week. He offered deals to guys so he could finance out mats.

The schools around here where pro fighters train run between $100 and $140 per month, it seems.

I pay $150 a month for BJJ, but I go to the most expensive and arguably best place in town. Least I've paid is $65.

Re: What do you pay for MMA classes?

Slight spin but we charge $85 for non members and $65 for non members monthly for BJJ and MMA. Our BJJ is taught by Cia Paulista BB Felipe Latare and our MMA is taught by a former instructor at AKA whe shall remain nameless for now.

And I go to the best place in town Yael.

Least I've paid is 100 for BJJ and Krav.

Re: What do you pay for MMA classes?

Hehe, I actually really considered TBJJ after moving from the Ultima. However, my girlfriend is really good friends with everyone at Primero and everyone there is AWESOME.

Primero is a bit out of my way from where I live, but I love it. The instructors are awesome. They are pretty focused on getting a solid team. We're gearing up for the tournament in Feb.

With so many BJJ studios in Tucson now it would be awesome to have a tournament here, even if it was a informal. Oh how I wish!

Re: What do you pay for MMA classes?

Oh cool, I looked at Primero. Actually my coach is the brother in law of one of the instructors there. I settled on TBJJ because they were closer to my house and in a better neighborhood, had beginner classes, and had other women training there. Really loved Primero though. Dusty is the man. I think the two gyms are planning on doing some stuff together too. My coach actually is working on a tournament in Tucson but I don't have the date or details yet.

Which instructor?

Dusty is an animal.... he makes me cry every time we roll.

Yeah TBJJ is closer, but meh. I don't mind the drive so much.
