The Stupidest Thing I Have Ever Done.

So, before I start, keep in mind that I have a teenage brain, and still do not thing everything through before I do it.

Anyways, I was attempting a muscleup with my backpack on. My bag does not have one of those straps to secure it to your waist, and so it sat freely on my back, kind of jumping off of my back the slightest bit when I jumped up and down.

I hang from the bar, swing forward, pull up, and as my chin reaches the bar, the backpack (already coming off of my back from the swing at this point) smacks me in the back of the head, shooting my chin into the bar. I drop down, in shock, and wondering what the **** happened. Then my entire WOD club at school is left to laugh at me, and I just went along with it, laughing at one of the more senseless things I've done.

I got cut in two places. One was on the front of my chin, from being squeezed in between the bar and my head. The other was on the inside of my mouth, where my teeth (from impact) cut into the spot right below my bottom lips, directly opposite from the first cut. For a couple minutes, I thought my teeth had gone through, but it turned out it was two seperate cuts (I tried to shut my mouth and push saliva through, but it didn't work.)

So my lesson to everyone is this: What ever you do, when attempting a weighted muscleup, MAKE SURE THE WEIGHT IS SECURED TO YOUR STOMACH!

You're only 16. That story will be at the very bottom of the list of "stupidest things I've ever done" in 10 years. In fact, it likely won't even place.

Yea, this is probably true. Feeling as though you have reasoning behind your comment, may I ask yours?

You're only 16, you still have a lot of time to keep topping yourself.
And you don't really do stupid things, you do hilarious things. Hilarity, of course, being subjective.
