Deadlift & Strict Pull Up form check

Hey folks, garage-gym goer here with no coach so to speak. I grabbed some videos of my Deadlift and Strict Pull ups yesterday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNQUZ3TAeSw I know my second pull up was suspect, but I think the rest were pretty good. The pointed toes helps me keep my ribcage down as instructed. Following CFFB's training, so during the strict pull ups, my goal is to keep the ribcage down. We were doing Deadlift progression and strict pullups (3xME for pulls).

Re: Deadlift & Strict Pull Up form check

Definitely look solid in all of the movements.

You've got a strong pull, the deads looked easy and looked clean. There may have been a slight movement where the bar traveled around the knees on the eccentric phase, very minimal though.

For the pull up, rib cage down = abs tight - you did it well.

Also, try squeezing your glutes, it will help set your pelvis in a neutral position. (Be warned, its hard work!)

Keep it up, gym looks great!

Re: Deadlift & Strict Pull Up form check

your lower back is soft and rounds a little bit. It looks like the bar is away from your legs as you pull off the ground. It should be in contact with your lest all the way up and down.

Pull ups were fine as in no kip.
