I have a 24 in. plyo box that I use for box jumps and I needed some shorter ones for my wife and daughter so I stacked my bumper plates ( 2-45's,2-35's,2-25's) and they are 18 in. high. They don't slide and there is enough area to land safely.Need a smaller box, just remove a bumper. They work great for us.Just thought I would share this.

We use the bumper plates on top of the boxes when we want to add height -- works well until you stack them too high!

Also another cheap alternative for a smaller box is to go to a home and garden store and buy irrigation boxes -- they are super sturdy and you just flip them over and you can jump on them!

That's how we always did them. Just be careful jumping with OL shoes from rubber mats! Rubber sticks to rubber - once while doing these, my foot got caught on the mat as I tried to jump and did a face and boob plant right on top of the stack of bumpers. :biglaugh:

We recently had an open house where people could come in and try to set personal records -- Jade Marsh did a box jump where he jumped 49.25" inches!
