I tried this and it was an utter and epic failure. Just a waste of baking soda.

Re: how to peel a hard boil egg

I'll have to say I do ruin some valuable eggs when the shell just doesn't come off right. I get p*ssed usually WING it right down the disposal like a fast ball. (that usually is fun and get's the frustration out... until the next egg)

One thing I find works (similar to the air method) is just running them under water while peeling them.

No Frank, not lazy, just annoyed when you boil a dozen and only get nine to eat.

I buy bags of peeled eggs - it's more expensive but a great on the go snack when you don't have the ability to cook them.

Plus, I'm lazy

Re: how to peel a hard boil egg

Palm it on the kitchen worktop so it cracks at the impact point roll it sendng a crack through the egg and peel. Easy peasy.
Each egg probobaly takes me about 10-20 seconds. I used to work in a kitchen and its how all the chefs used to do it, no dead eggs using this method. lol.

That's how I used to try it all the time, which would give me a lot of fits. I think we let them sit in the warm water too long after cooking also, so I'll add that in. That's where the lazy comes in. LOL
