Looking for flat benches

I have squat stands that allow for bench as well. I need to get some benches that do not have the supports for the bar. Any suggestions?

http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/pro99990.html (safe for work) Footprint is nice and compact and it is built like a tank. I would check Midwest Barbell too though they might have a better deal than NYBarbell.

I got one for $30 at the local "Play It Again Sports". Yours may be a little further out (20 miles or so) (wfs) than you want to drive, though.

Re: Looking for flat benches

Not sure what you're looking to spend, but I just bought a York flat bench through Allison. It's a tank and I fully expect it to last years! The one I bought is not the bottom line model and it was still cheaper than the New York one linked above. She gives a good CF discount. Solid.

Re: Looking for flat benches

I have the higher end York bench as well and it's more than solid. Highly recommend it. The Legend utility flat bench looks pretty good, too.

Re: Looking for flat benches

I got an Apex at Walmart for about $45 delivered and I'm quite satisfied with it (WFS):

But if I had more to spend I'd have gone with one of these (WFS):

One more suggestion: DIY! Benches are pretty easy to make - google around for some plans, I've seen a few on some bodybuilding sites. Use several towels for a pad, if you need to. I almost went this route to complete my ghetto squat rack, but I ran across the one at PIAS.

My apologies if this diverts the topic, but what kind of squat stands do you have that allow for bench?

Also, how much weight do you plan on using on the bench?

I have these stands. We have to sets and they work very well.

As far as what weight that depends on each person using it. Probably no more than 300 at any given time.

Thank you everyone i am looking into all of these.
