I work sporatically physical at my job...lift heavy objects, wheel barrel things, etc.

Should I treat this as my sport, or still play a sport, do the WOD, and do this work?

Thanks in advance for replys.

The best time in my life was when I was training 5 hrs a day and coaching 7 hrs a day. The job is very physically active and I was able to do both. Just pay attention to what you are working and you should be able to do it all.

When not at uni my work allows for me to do lots of lifting and walking with heavy awkward objects, i treat this as excersise. Some of the people who work there are interested in testing their strength with me so this is fun to.

But I still do a sport which is judo which obviously works me in a different way plus it's nice to train with like minded people.

I strongman that I once interviewed Jimmy Pellechia said that his best gains in strength came when he was doing hard labor all day. He would go home and workout afterwards and he said that his body was primed and ready to go.

Make sure that you sleep well and up the calories, but I think that you might be surprised with how well your body adapts.
