Folks
Any crossfitters in the Detroit area interested in the Strongman scene should check this out.
Work and family safe of course.

I'll be driving from Ottawa to compete, and hopefully qualify for the NASS nationals

Steve, I'll be over at the NAS Florida Strongman competition on Feb. 24.
No, I'm not competing, I'm going to watch my friend, Tom Mitchell, compete in the Masters Heavyweight Division.
In fact, Tom will be coming down to do a Strongman Training seminar for us soon.
Best of success to you, Steven, at the competition!

Thanks Guys

William, I'll be travelling alone, so pics may be hard to come by.
Here's one from last spring though.
Yeah, thats natural.
Yes, that is a belt I'm wearing, and yes those are straps I'm wearing also.
I know, they're a "crutch" but I'll allow myself that one little convenience for a competition.

Andy
The straps are dependent on the event and the promoter it seems.
If its a safety issue, they don't allow them. Like the farmers walks.
That picture was taken for a deadlift for reps event. In that case, they're testing your power, not your grip strength.
