I just got a "first place" kettlebell, now on sale at everythingtrackandfield.com, which also has cheap shipping. The price is right and the casting is as nice or nicer than the K2 bells I have, and much nicer than the Powermax. It also has a rubber disc screwed to the bottom, which seems like it can't hurt/might help.

Allan -

Thanks for posting the link. They look pretty good. What is the deal with the rubber on the bottom? Have you tried taking it off?

Thanks!

Shipping is 10% of the product price, with a minimum of $7.50. There's an exception for oversize items, which apparently does not include kettlebells. I haven't tried to remove the rubber piece yet, but it's held on by a hex screw so it looks like it would be easy. Will try this weekend if I get the chance.

I'd love to hear what people are quoted.

i asked about shipping on an 8,12, and 16 kg bell, and then asked if the order was a 20 and 24 what would it be, and was told "50 dollars" to nyc area. i have to follow up whether that was per bell, or total order.

they are the sister site to performbetter, so i would imagine the rates are the same.

I ordered a 16kg one last week from Peformbetter since I can't find any in Oklahoma. The original quote off the site was $7.50 but I got an email from them later quoting $23.00 which I declined.

Maybe things just slip through sometimes, but I have successfully ordered heavy but small items several times from everythingtrackandfield at the cheap rates.

Yeah
They quoted me $7.50 and then changed it to $18. This wouldn't have really bothered me, but when coupled with the fact that they're out of the 16k size and it will be at least 3 weeks or a month before they ship it it really seemed upsetting. I thought I was going to receive it this week! I can't wait a month! I'll go mad!
