First Matt G takes absence from the board now Dan Silver? I don’t get it. Did I miss something? A good fight? Over the top insults? Things said about someone’s momma? I think people really need to check their “feelings” at the door when entering the discussion board. Disagreement is good, dissension is good, skepticism is good, and criticism is good. What ever happened to critical thinking and debate? What’s all this business with being nice? Nothing is more boring than preaching to choir or threads where people look for validation and then get 200 posts from people telling them how “SUPER” they are. Encouragement and accolades are fine but I come to the board to hash things out and get to the truth about training and fitness. More than anything I appreciate the fact that people don’t pull punches with me. I love the humor and the sarcasm. IMO Matt G is a straight shooter that backs his ideas up with top performances. Dan Silver is…well, Dan Silver. His stuff is funny as hell and he has a way to reel in the conversation with some bizarre off the wall comment. If they both need to take some time away from the discussion board, fine. I respect that but I sincerely hope they aren’t doing so because they are being pressured to by some touchy feely types. Real men don’t have feelings.

*watches tumbleweeds pass by*

Is it just me or has it gotten really quiet around here too? Good post, "what is this tear-like substance coming from my eye?"

I was going to post a clever (?) "1984" reference here, but thought better of it.

I was just gone to Vegas for 3 days and come back to a ghost town??

Thank God Walshy is still knocking 'em out of the park!
Have a Gatorade on me!

I don't know if anyone starts more good discussions on this board than Walshy.

Butting heads is good. Nasty sarcasm is good. Detonating the thread that asks about body good.

If we continue doing what we're doing, we'll make it impossible for Dan not to jump back into the fray (I know Matt's back). I think the WOD itself weeds out certain types, and the banter on the Board weeds out some others. So be it.

Walshy's last line is going to be my new motto. The wife'll love it.

If ya'll will let these threads go, I promise to paint a big target on my back once a week that Dan will not be able to ignore.

Just posted my thoughts on another thread, but...I remember when Walsh entered the fray with the "I don't believe in the Zone because my friends said so" thing. Dude took some direct hits and inspired Coach to launch an ICBM. I also remember Bill Fox and Barry Cooper getting nuked. All survived the fallout and, I believe, came back stronger.
