Help me build a birthday WOD

Tomorrow I turn 38. I'll be working out at home where I have rings, abmat, jump rope, C2, room to run, and various odd-shaped heavy objects.

Please help me build a "38 is great" birthday WOD! Thanks!

That sounds like a horribly awesome birthday chipper. Its really the only way to go on birthdays. Although ending with burpees is brutal.

Re: Help me build a birthday WOD

OUCH. That makes me hurt just reading it!

I like the idea of celebrating with CF... when my workout partner (Tereza Ohley) passes her bar exam, we're going to spend a Saturday doing Day 1 from the 2008 CF Games. We're stoked.

Happy Early Birthday -- if you choose this work out, please post your time!

Re: Help me build a birthday WOD

Let's call this the "38 special"

6 rounds (of course)
run 400m
38 situps
38 pushups
38 pistols (19 each leg)

...for time.

Note: should be performed to this soundtrack: http://www.38special.com/index1.htm (WFS)

Re: Help me build a birthday WOD

Scott-
Go easy on yourself.
I'll be turning 38 in September, so I feel your pain.

how about this - for time:
13 dead lift @ 275# (weight used at the "Games" for men)
13 pull ups (chest to bar - per new "Games" pull up standards)
12 clean and jerks at 155# (weight used at the "Games" for men)
Total reps above = 38.

If that is too easy, you can always do Heavy Fran

PS: another good one would be 100 pull ups, weighted with 38#, for time.

Re: Help me build a birthday WOD

Not to make you guys feel old or anything, but I turn 19 next friday I wanted to do a birthday workout as well, what a coincidence! The funny thing about the workouts that have been suggested so far is that the younger you are the less reps you have to do .....I can't imagine doing a workout geared towards your 60th birthday, I can see it now 60 MUs haha

Re: Help me build a birthday WOD

hmmm...

3 Rounds:

8 weighted pullups (38 lbs)
8 thrusters (114 lbs, 38x3)
8 deadlift (228 lbs, 38x6)
8 burpees

after the 3 rounds, without resting:
sprint 380 meters

Yeah, you probably can't make the numbers exact... but it'd be a good one!
