Nick, the only reason for more than one series of holes is to allow the use of more than one height box. The 24" box I think is sufficient for most people. If you are very tall you may come closer to the floor than others but i think you would be OK (for your info I am 6 foot tall and you can see that I have plenty of clearance).

The reason I suggest more than one hole per box height is that I do not know the ideal position for a given box height. Thus I provided the capability to tweak things a bit. I also wanted to allow for use of the rounded box directly on the floor as this allows for GHD sit-up wall ball in gyms with limited ceiling height. This is a really fun drill!

If you can find the sweet spot and only want to use one size box as a base then it should be able to use a single fixed height foot brace.
