substitutes for deadlift

Any substitutes for deadlift?

Deadlift will be available in less than 2 month.

tomorrow 10k run
I guess I should do it in the beach instead of on a treadmill, right?

oops, I almost forgot:
A gym instructor told me that I should squat until my legs will be 90 degrees...
I mean, what the hell bro? I think I shouldn't listen to him, because he isn't right.
I should do a full squat right? he saids that If I do "full" squats I will break my knee.
And thrusters should be with dumbells or with a barbell?

thanks

Re: substitutes for deadlift

What kind of equipment do you have available to use?

Squat full ROM. Tell him oly lifters squat butt to ankles and have less knee injury rates than pretty much all sports.

Thrusters with barbell.

Re: substitutes for deadlift

I'm unable to access my barbell to deadlift right now so i am substituting with kettlebell swings for the next few weeks or so. Single dumbell snatch might be worth trying too.

Re: substitutes for deadlift

Suitcase DLs (like mainpage... you can use DBs), KB swings are good like the person below my first post mentioned, one leg DLs (aka king deadlifts), straight leg DLs with DBs/KBs, etc.

tons of stuff really
