This was a great idea. Makes judging much easier and way more consistent. When the athletes are moving fast, it can be hard to tell if there is a full lockout at the top of the dip...especially when they have large biceps that make it look like their arms are still bent.

They had those at Regionals for the 50s WOD.

Did the scoring change this year ??? I seem to remember the higher you finished the fewer points you got - this year it seems opposite

I think it was 2 years ago that they changed it. Before if you got second you got twice as many points as first. Now you get 95% of the points the first place guy. I think it makes the scoring a little for "fair"

I asked that a few pages back. Apparently, the open and regionals are scored how you just said, and the games are the opposite. The games were this way before too - Froning won, and had a considerable amount MORE points than the next guy.

Glad to see OPT is in third overall right now (masters 40-44). Hopefully he can hang on to it and be back on the podium 7 years after winning.

I believe froning tried 400 cause he felt like he could do it. You could tell he was mad he didn't get the push press to lock out

Maybe i'm missing something, but does anyone else think with the individual events, that as a whole they seem rather 'Unsubstantial' ?

Just seems like there should be more
