Greg : <hunches over in agony>
Me: "But Froning is already doing his interview at this point."

Thanks, Christopher.

He finished in 20+ minutes as well, so believe me when I say that it was difficult as hell to not tell him at the 16:52 mark that "Froning would have been done TWICE by now."

Some jack wagon at our gym yelled out at Froning 's finish time.....Ok, Rich was done right about now.....wasn't funny at all considering I was still on the set of 15

Re: 14.5 tips and strategies

I tried to retest this yesterday. My plan was to go out a lot harder than I had the first time and hope I could hold on. I quit 2 thrusters into the round of 12, haha. I literally think I had the perfect pacing and rep scheme on my first attempt. I couldn't breathe and the thought of having to move that bar anymore was killing me. I knew I wasn't going to beat my time on Friday so I just quit. Never quit a WOD before, that was a bummer. But oh well.

There's a running joke in our gym (and generally with Crossfitters who know me very well) that I love to hand out no-reps.

Greg told me after the workout that he was very focused all the way through the WOD on not giving me the chance to no-rep him. So, when I finally had to hit him with the one no-rep (and it was a pretty clear one), you could see the agony and disappointment on his face at (a) knowing that he was going to have to re-do the burpee and (b) giving me the "enjoyment" of getting to no-rep him.

The great thing about no-repping at the end is he doesn't have the strength to hit you very hard or the energy to chase after you.

Good story
