High Arch / Pes cavus

Hi,

does someone know exercises that reduces a high arch? For example long walking causes pain in the middle of the arch. I was told that rolling a tennis ball with the foot helps to reduce the tension. In my case also the soleus has a lot of tension. (Perhaps caused by the high arch). Especially running and double unders with too much intensity causes pain in the soleus area at the shins on the inside. Are there any other exercises that help?

Thank you
Christian

Re: High Arch / Pes cavus

sounds like you needs some arch support, over time the arch will wear out (getting old) but now days evidence is pretty equal on problems with flat feet and high arches....I don't cant think of any exercises maybe working out barefoot or walking around barefoot more to strengthen muscles in feet, don't use flat shoes, get arch support, just brain storming don't take it to heart
