Travis AFB in the house...

I am a new comer to this Cross Fit thing. Saw a guy (mike) doing to crazy work out on the base and asked him about it. I'm willing to try it on for a while and see where it goes. A little about me, I'm in the CA national Guard, a helicopter pilot and am 36 years old. I'm in reasonably decent condition, just quit smoking, and doing what I can to save my knees. My knees have a tendency to grind and pop, so I'm hoping Cross Fit can help me out. I'll be asking a lot of questions, so I hope no one minds.

James,

I was TDY to Travis last year. Ya'll have a pretty good gym, if I remember correctly. Welcome to the party!

Hi James - welcome aboard. As many will tell you, read the FAQ thoroughly before starting, as it contains a section on just that - getting started. The site has an incredible amount of resources. Just start slow and work up to the the "crazy" stuff! You will have a blast.
