Way to start off thanksgiving

So doing thanksgiving wod and on last lap I hear a loud POP and then can't put pressure on my leg. I get back to car drive myself to ER. X-rays show nothing but cant help to figure it's a ACL tear. So they send me home with Meds and a brace, since it's a holiday weekend I'm sure I won't be able to see my specialist till Monday. So "if" ACL how long am I out for? And will I be restricted from movements?

I know everyone is differernt just trying to hear some stories how it affected different people.

Since I'm laid up, have time to do some reading.

Probably wouldn't worry about it until you get an answer. Worst case scenario you don't get picked up in fantasy next season because you're too risky.

Do not worry about it till you know. The answers to your questions are highly individual and depend on how it will be treated which - as far as I know - depends on multiple variants.

Heavy squats might be out for quite a long time (6 months plus), but upper body work will still be possible and might actually help to healing process.

Re: Way to start off thanksgiving

Heavy squats. Damn that's what I did the night before my injury and I felt solid. Sucks. Was also having some good PRs (in last two weeks). I do feel I will need surgery since I cannot put weight on it. Not only that it seems like since I hit my 40s my heal process has slowed down drastically, and I love this sport and don't wanna have to give it up. <---- sorry had to vent. No docs open till Monday so now we wait.
