I'll say its worth watching just to read the 'constructive' comments on youtube.

First of all, I love the enthusiasm in your workout. Secondly, ditto what Lincoln said...pay for some quality coaching asap. I'm actually a bit amazed that your were able to move that weight the way you did with that bad of form. Think what you could do if you learned the movement properly?!?!

I just laughed a lot after reading all of these comments. I really appreciate the suggestion for some good quality coaching and I'll certainly be seeking Mr. Polakowski out. I just want to let everyone know out there for their peace of mind that I am lifting a little safer presently. I just watched the video again and it really is a piece of comedic genius. I'll use it as a "what not to do' video for the end of time, a reference for 0.

It's actually fascinating how much better your form got when you were tired. Your body was trying to figure out what was biomechanically efficient- it just had no starting point at all. There is just too much to go over and the clean and jerk is way to complex to teach via forum. I hope you seek out a proper olympic weightlifting coach and I wish you best of luck! Show us videos with your improvement.

Whoah! Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and the fine welcome. I agree very much with the 'starting at 0' comment as well, the body, with training and experimentation can figure out a lot of the mechanics of the work.

I'm looking forward to my next deadlifting session, I'm betting paying attention to not creating a moment arm will help me set a new PR.

I've also backed off the lifting a little, I was trying to do a SS cycle but my strength was writing checks my form couldn't cash.

Im trying to squeeze money from rocks to attend a Lvl 1 cert.
