Played Lacrosse last night...

for the first time in years. My old teammates from high-school were amazed. I hadn't picked up a lacrosse stick in years and they couldn't believe I hadn't played any lacrosse in college. I can safely say I had the best cardio and conditioning on the field and this included some D1 players. I gotta give all the credit to CrossFit. It's given me a level of athleticism I've never dreamt of achieving.

Anyone out there go back to sport they loved after some good old CrossFit only to realize they're actually better now?

Especially when you sub off as a middy, & recover in 10 seconds while everyone else is gassed out for one minute!

I was never a great climber to begin with but I used to go fairly often for a year before CF. Now I go about once every 6 months and I've always improved. Technique could use some work, but that's always been the case.

Congrats - must have felt awesome - looking forward to my return to organized hockey after 2 year's layoff, after 3 years of sub-par performance...

Lax as well. I was a decent HS player, and played some D3 and club ball. Have been away for 20 years. Played a pick up game a few weeks back and was hitting hard, and clearing really well. I definatly felt being stronger and more fit was allowing me to play well. Recovery was a HUGE part, I just wasn't getting gassed as easy.

Backpacking with MS track stars (my son incl.) and HS soccer stars and to have them say, "Hey, Mr. can hang." Trek last month was 22 miles in 2 days with about 12,000 of total elevation changes, incl 3000' up in the first 1.5 mi then 2500' down in the last 2.

Well, I used to suck at hockey but now I check kids into next week and no one can knock me down... Still can't stickhandle, though
