I would like to get some opinions for what a reasonable price (or price range) is for a model b, c and d C2. The more the merrier (hopefully this could be a good reference for other C2 hunters)

I don't know what condition they were in, but there were 2 on the D.C. Craig's list recently, one for 275.00 and one for 300.00.

Yeah, I missed them both (gotta check my email more often:wallbash:)

I don't believe either of the posts stated what model they were.

Jason,
I have bought four of these this year from $60 to $500 and I have seen plenty sell for over $550. The real good deals you see on Craigslist require immediate action as they sell super fast.

So $500 would be a deal for a C?

I found a guy that has an older model C2 that he would take 75 bucks for. He says it works, but could use some TLC and a new chain. He said the computer crapped out on it a long time ago. The guy told me it's at least eight years old. What do you guys think? Worth the two hour drive to pick it up? How much good would it do w/out the computer?

Neil-

Get int the car, drive, pick it up. You can get all the needed parts for it (that price is a steal) from C2.

Jason, based on what I am seeing, 500.00 is market, anything below is good, and anything below 350.00 is a fantastic deal. Of course, if this is for internal gear justification to your significant other, I would say 700.00 is a fair price for a well made instrument that does not wear out. If you can get it for less than that, you are a true bargain hunter who has worked hard to find the best deal, and preserve your families finances while still keeping the health and well being of its members of paramount importance.

Once you verify the monitor is really dead, not just needs batteries or lost connections, you will want a monitor.

I read that a PM3 and PM4 monitor will work on older models, but will suck batteries, as it will get no power from the rower. Maybe C2 can get you a PM2 from their bone yard.

How lucky am I? The gym I work for has about 10 C2s and they stay chained against the back wall. A new Ops manager gets hired and wants to start 'cleaning house' so I end up getting a rower in exchange for extra work during pending remodelling and a 2nd rower for $200. Great condition too. Check local gyms and see if they have inventory they want to unload.
