Mad Max: The Eye Doc Challenge

Hya! I thought I'd try to sneak CF into the general public's consciousness by getting some docs to pay attention to fitness. As you know I am a Crossfitter through and through, so the Challenge involves a test that will evaluate general physical preparedness. We will test strength, endurance, and BW fitness. Here's the test.

10:00 to find a one-rep max Deadlift (in pounds)
Immediately set off to run one mile for time (in seconds)
Rest 5:00
2:00 Max reps Pull-ups
2:00 Rest
2:00 Max reps Push-ups
2:00 Rest
2:00 Max Reps Sit-ups
2:00 Rest
2:00 Max Reps Squats

Your Challenge score is computed as follows:

DL (pounds) + PU + Push-ups + SU + Squats - Mile (seconds)

We've trialled this in 4 CF gyms. There is a modifier for women; 1.4X for Deadlift, PU, and Push-ups.

ZERO is the beginning of fitness, at least GPP. >100 is very fit. >200 is extremely fit.

Give it a shot. Coming off a cold I got a +19. Jeff Martin (same age as me, exactly) got +228.

thats pretty cool bingo! just getting my running legs back under me so i'll give this a go here in the next month.
