Re: Newbie
You'll be sore a lot at first, but the soreness will be come less and less prevalent as you get more conditioned. Certain workouts will still make you sore though.

Im also a newbie to crossfit and to this forum. I must say, today in particular, after 5 weeks of crossfit I've noticed 2 things. First, I gained 4-5 kilos extra (!!!!) but I look much better and fitter. Muscle is growing FAST. Second, Im noticing the muscles grow and Im growing a lot firmer! Stay motivated and you will see results quickly. Cheers ! ps.- the first week i did 1 workout, because after the first one i coulnt walk properly for the rest of the week ![]() |

Re: Newbie
Hi folks. Im also new to crossfit.
6 weeks now at the minute. In the first 5 weeks i dropped five kilo, but i had it to lose anyway. im 6'4 and was 116 kg. I have a decent amount of muscle definition but carry weight on my gut and arse!!! My aim would be to get down to 105kg and long term hit 100kg. Hopefuly along with that ill improve my cardio and flexibility. Ive already felt a huge improvement in my squat/deadlift technique. Im struggling with pull ups though!! Hoping they com along shortly. Im currently on protein, whey and caesin aswell as amino acids. Contemplating going on the creatine as im still feeling the pain after workouts for a day or two. My main problem is im afraid to go on it and gain back in a couple of days the 5kg it took we 5 weeks to lose! Anyway, looking forward to all the tips and advice, i need massive improvement in my diet!!!!!! Good to get started here, looking forward to posting. ![]() |

Re: Newbie
I'm new as well, having started about three weeks ago...and while it is certainly a struggle, I'm having the time of my life. Also, for what its worth, I've found that the worst of the soreness goes away after a week or so and is replaced by soreness typical of a regular lifting/HIIT schedule.
