What Do You Wish You Knew

To those who have owned their box for more than a few months...

What do you know now that you wish you knew a month before you opened?

Marketing, by far. You might be the best coach in the whole friggin world but suck at marketing wich in turn will make you struggle.

Re: What Do You Wish You Knew

I've long counseled business owners that whatever business they are in, they are really in the marketing business.

"If you build it they will come." only works in the movies.

A friend's father worked for Kraft Cheese. Anytime anyone made a suggestion he replied by asking, "Does this help us sell cheese."

He knew he was in the cheese-selling business - not the cheese-making business.

And it is true. Without the ability to sell whatever you are selling - in this case a service - you will fail.
