Re: Pro athletes in the CF games

Aussie rules players are fit but the hits are weak compared to rugby or rugby league. There are some pretty big hits in NFL too.

Re: Pro athletes in the CF games

You could throw hockey players in the mix as well. The hits are super hard, the game speed is crazy. The average shift may only last around a minute, but after 6 or 7 of those in a period, you can be pretty gassed. Rugby and football are hardcore too, but I won't get into the whole 'what athlete is fittest' thing.

I have respect for anyone who goes pro as an athlete (except the ones who are on the roids...).

No offense but there was nothing athletic in that, just a whole heap of cheering after kicking straight :stir: Plus he doesn't play for the home team :stir:

When you talk about big hits, big injuries comes to mind:

I see way more head/neck/back injuries in the NFL than in any Rugby leagues..

Re: Pro athletes in the CF games

It was cool seeing Phaidra (awesome name) show up in the regional recaps.

As far as rugby "hits" go, you really have to appreciate what the guy in white can absorb in this clip:

(possibly not WFS: punching/fighting)
