In my experience, yes they absolutely are. In most cases, for the oly stuff alone, I will wear weightlifting shoes, however I have worn the Inov-8's on occasion for 1-1-1's and they feel just fine. In terms of MetCons and mixed WoD's, the Inov-8's have by far been the best option for me personally to date.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your input and help.

I'm going to try and locate a pair of the 230's in Ontario today and see if I can get them as soon as possible.

I think I'm going to have to get a pair of Inov 8s. Although I've kind of had my eye on on the 220. Any shoe that has a minimalist sole, low profile heel, and is lighter than the nike free is deffinitely worth checking out for me.

Re: INOV-8 F-lite 230s

Guys/gals I went to a retailer listed on the website in my local town and they don't sell to the public they are just a supplier.

Way long story to explain this all.

Short end - I couldn't try on any of them so how do these fit.

If I'm a size 10 in a normal Asics/Saucony runner would I be the same size in these?

Its very frustrating trying to get good equipment around here. I have no problem ordering from Again Faster, I just want to be sure I get the right size.

Re: INOV-8 F-lite 230s

Jon, can you explain the difference between the 230 and 220? I'm looking for a minimalist racing flat specifically for running. Any idea which Innov8 would be best? I occasionally go offroad, but typically stay on paths/roads. I've emailed Innov8, but haven't gotten any response and its been a little while.

Daniel,

In short, they have different sole configurations. The sole on the 230 is slightly stickier and more aggressive than that on the 220; better for varied surfaces (dirt/pavement/rock, etc.) The sole on the 220 is translucent and harder, as you'd expect in a road shoe, and is primarily intended for pavement.

Best,

Jon
