An Ode to Crossfit, 5k Success story!

Well guys i will try to keep it short but sometimes knowing the whole story is important. I will first start by saying that i am a huge beleiver in crossfit and its benefits short and long term. I did crossfit for about 6 months starting early May of '08 until around october. I was unable to go anymore due to lack of money and time. What is sad is having to quit when i was in the best shape of my life (3: 43 Fran) I had planned on returing in jan. when i would have more of both money and time, however a freak snowboarding accident left me with an AC separation and down for the count for 6 months. However, after full recovery i decided it was time to get back on that horse again. Soon after returning i heard word of a small 5k that crossfit would be sponsoring and i decided that i wanted to run in it. So i had roughly 6 weeks to train starting basically from the bottom of the fitness ladder. However, after those short 6 weeks and a little dieting (no alcohol), i ended up winning the 5K with a time of 21:30! I must say i have never won anytype of race in my life being that i am 6 foot 210. So it was a proud day for me and i thought i would share it with you guys! Thanks crossfit!

Man that is awesome, congratulations! A 21:30 is a solid time and something to be proud of.
