4 meals into 3...

I've been eating 3 big meals (5 blocks or so) and a smaller snack (3 blocks) for a while now, however, I end up eating a lot more than 5 blocks in my last meal! I'm thinking of either decreasing the snack (maybe just 2 blocks) or getting rid of it and incorporating these 2 blocks elsewhere.

Anyone out there follow a 3 meal a day pattern?

On my fast days, I eat 3 meals b/t 5pm and 9pm (every 2 hrs) and 4 meals on feed days. Tried the snack meals but found them to be nothing more than a mind teaser. When it's time to eat, I want to eat. Not just tickle/tease my taste buds with a small snack.

I eat 3 meals and 2 snacks per the usual Zone recommendations. Looks like you're on an 18 block plan if my math is right, which it usually isn't.

Try going 3-4 block meals and two 3 block snacks. Or 3-5 block meals a two block snack and a one block snack before bedtime.

Part of why you're eating so much could be that you're going too long between meals resulting in a lot of hunger.

Try something along then lines of what they have recommended in CFJ #21.

edit: If you're following some sort of IF plan, then you'll need to disregard my entire post.

I'm with you Steve! My snacks usually consist of some deli meat, cottage cheese, sardines, or a shake with fruit... pointless! I'd rather eat more dinner

Steak, bagels, chips, cheese, chocolate, cheesecake, fruits, bacon - basically I forget any rule of decent eating and go completely nuts!

6 am, 10 am and 2 pm roughly.

Hey
Just getting the info on this zone stuff. Iv'e been doing 4 blocks/meal x 6 meals. I have a quick metabolism, so i gotta eat every 2-4 hours or I get extra cranky, just like my 4 year old.
