Re: Games Competitors and Biceps??

I've never curled in my life but I have some bulging biceps (especially for a 39 year old woman) but I can't say specifically what I've done to train them. I've been doing Oly lifts exclusively since the beginning of the year and they've grown since then.

What do these guys do that makes their biceps look so massive?

Call me vain...but I want them.
Maybe pullups and Olympic lifts?

Weighted chin-ups will give you bigger biceps.

Re: Games Competitors and Biceps??

I'm sorry if I missed it being mentioned but how big exactly is bulging biceps? I have high school students that think a 13 or 14 inch bicep is big. I don't consider biceps really impressive until hitting the 16" or larger mark.

One of the things I've heard/read commonly repeated is that for every inch of growth to the biceps, it takes about a 10 pound gain in weight. But if you have a goal of wanting some bicep hypertrophy, throw in a few sets of bicep exercise to failure.

Re: Games Competitors and Biceps??

Just to keep everyone updated, I recently hit some PRs.

Deadlift: 425

Squat: 385

Did both at a BW of 190.

Biceps are looking good too.
