Agreed. My dad was in the restaurant business; one thing he taught me is that you can tell the quality of a place by the way it smells. I have never walked into a McD's that did not have (for me) some off-putting odor. Same goes for all the other fast food joints.

In-N-Out passes the smell-test, tho.

Once you IF quite a bit & eat very strict Paleo - it's super easy to not eat for 24-36 without a problem at all. Even going for 36+ hours isn't too bad but counterproductive to training.

In n Out also has the benefit of using fresher ingredients and never-frozen beef--IF is still probably a healthier choice, but minimal additives and other artificial junk means you could do a lot worse...i.e. McDonalds.

Two 4 piece nuggets and a bag of apples is only 3 bucks. Not too shabby.
I could do a lot worse!

Re: Something Good About Mickey-Dee's

Can someone really tell me what "never frozen" beef matters? I buy beef, lamb, chicken, etc in bulk (1/4 cow, 1/2 lamb, 4-5 whole chickens at once)...there's never anything wrong with it when thawed. Good marketing gimmick though.

Freezing does affect the texture. It can be very noticeable with fish, which is more delicate to begin with, less so with other meats.

Some tidbits: A chicken has one ingredient...McD's has 217.
Powerade has the sugar content of Coke, which stands to reason since coke makes it.
