Affordable med balls

A quick thumbs-up for http://www.esportsonline.com/.YOU MUST ENSURE YOU ANNOTATE ALL LINKS WHETHER WORK AND FAMILY SAFE.

I recently purchased a couple of med balls from them for my garage gym. I wasn't ready to drop the coin for Dynamax balls so I searched for a more affordable alternative and eventually found this site.

I purchased a ~12lbs. and a ~16lbs. med ball for $24.79 and $26.39 respectively. On top of the excellent price, they also offered free shipping for orders over $50.

While I haven't done any extended ball slam endurance tests with them, first impression is good. Well made, solid, and perfectly adequate for my use.

Check them out in the attached picture.

How are the dimensions compared to dynamax?

Uh...wow...I had no idea that Dynamax was here in Austin. How did you go about buying directly from them here in town? Is it possible to go by and pick one up without having to have it shipped?

Re: Affordable med balls

i believe so, when i ordered mine i was told the factory was closed due to it being 3 days before christmas. http://www.medicineballs.com/index.htmlYOU MUST ENSURE YOU ANNOTATE ALL LINKS WHETHER WORK AND FAMILY SAFE. the factory is actually in buda, but the owner lives near crockett high school in south austin. i sent them an email with my phone number and he called me within a couple of days.

Re: Affordable med balls

So for those of you who are interested, I bought a couple of these medicine balls (5-6lbs 10-15lbs, 8-10lbs) and got them last week. Things to note:

-The do not come at an exact weight, they are roughly 2 pounds tolarence ( I put them on the scale (a pair of 15lbs) and they were actually 13.5 and 14 lbs.)

-The lighter the weight, the smaller the medicine ball. the 6lbs I got is the size of water logged softball

-The largest ball they sell 15-16 is smaller then the dynamax ball. So I won't be using it has a squat depth meter, but I have found some of my female client like the smaller ball for wall ball

I haven't tried slaming them, but I most likely won't based no the stiching. It looks like a great med ball, but not so much as a dynamax replacement. At the end of the day I'll still use them for classes, but I do plan on ordering more Dynamax balls or Garage gym balls.

-Robert

Re: Affordable med balls

Oops, looks like I dropped the ball on this thread - pun intended

Measurements:
The 12 lbs. ball is about 33" around/10.5 across and weighs in at 11.5 lbs.
The 16 lbs. ball is about 35" around/11 across and weighs in at 15.5 lbs.

I've used them for a few hundred wall balls and med ball cleans, and so far I'm happy with them.

Mods: Sorry about the linkage. From pretty much any other forum I'm used to links being implied WFS unless marked NSFW. Hard to remember that the opposite policy applies here.
