Re: Opininons on this article

Just looks like Rip pouting because he got booted from Crossfit. Blatantly anti-crossfit, as you can see here.

"By incorrectly training a carelessly tossed together hodgepodge of techniques, you are essentially training to be good at nothing. Some proponents of these methods preach the opposite: variety leads to improvement in everything. An example of this is CrossFit’s claim that they train for the unknown and the unknowable. Unfortunately, this is not how human physiological systems work. You become better at that which you practice, both metabolically and mechanically. Practicing everything makes you better at nothing."

Re: Opininons on this article

While it wasn't written by Rip if you read through the comments you will see that Rip defends the author and says that the author's views on this are the same as his..... just being factual.:stir:

Re: Opininons on this article

They wouldn't let me post this article in the WOD comment section on the main site main page. What are they afraid of?

Oh right, the truth. This article basically spells out why CF is not a real training program. Sad.

So...what exactly is incorrect about that?

Yea, you must be right. That is why I use it to get kids to pass physical tests all the time, get them in the army, through firefighter and police physicals, and fitter all around. Must be their heads playing with them. Getting them from a 50kg squat X 5 to a 120Kg squat x 1 and increasing their work capacity, endurance, stamina, pull ups from 12 to 20, etc. has nothing to do with CF being a training program.

What is training to you buddy? Looking at your abs and guns in the mirror?

Listen up little boy because you got a lot of things to learn: Do you really think HQ should put up every article slamming it on their mainpage and the forums you consider fit?

Whoever wrote that article has an opinion, it does not make them right, or CF wrong, or whichever way you want to look at it. Have something against CF and HQ? Go ahead and preach it, you're just making a fool of yourself. There's a reason there are so many haters. Now hurry along and try and find out why. Maybe in a few years, when you grow some pubes, you'll understand.
