Swimming does make me hungry, that's for sure! And when I'm not swimming a couple times a week, I have to cut back on my food intake, or I start putting on body fat right away.

WOD:
Spin Class
25 minutes lap swim

My first time ever doing a Spin class, and it was pretty brutal. My quads were killing me, and I was getting nauseas.

Today is the last day I can swim for a whole month. Having Lasik surgery next week, so, I have to stay out of the pool and the ocean for 4 weeks. Ugh. I'm hoping to add spinning 1-2 times a week, and spend more time on my bike too. This should work out perfectly, since in a month I'm doing the 65 mile Gran Fondo up in Santa Rosa. My legs should be nice and strong by then!!!

Good luck with the surgery, Nancy! I have been thinking of it , but I'm nervous
I used to do spinning. I think it is the one "globo" thing that is any good. I just think if we do it too much it builds legs but no arm strength. Sounds perfect for your ride though!! When is that?
I didnt ride at all this summer. My bike needs service and I got so lazy
Been really loving the lifting-I have to admit

Thanks Marianne. I actually had it done 3 years ago, but my astigmatism came back, so he's redoing my right eye.

I hear ya about the spinning. It's like anything else, you wouldn't want to do just that...too imbalanced. But, it was great cardio, and I need more leg strength....swimming is so much upper body work. Anyway, I'm real limited now due to my tennis elbow as well so I can't do much upper body work anyway.

Sunday: 15 mile sloooooowwwww bike ride. Stopped at a couple wineries along the way. Drank too much wine and still had to ride bike back to where we parked.

Monday: Stadiums for almost an hour. Then, an hour walk with the dogs on the beach.

Stadiums & Core Workout

About 40 minutes of stadiums. At bottom of each section, I did 20-25 of one of either bicycles, deadbugs, hip raises, scissors, or Russian twists.
