As a firefighter, I thought this was pretty cool. If the wife allowed me to get more bumpers, i'd buy a pair of the Competition Plates.

We're stoked at what 555 is doing; in short, equipment grants to firehouses. Such a great idea, with simple execution:

555 raises money, gets gear from us at a HUGE discount, and gives it to the firehouses. Right now, I believe they're concentrating on volunteer outfits, as the budgets in those houses are super low.

At the link you posted, we're selling 555 barbells, bumpers, and t-shirts and contributing 10% of the proceeds to their fund. Even if the bar and bumpers aren't something you need, that t-shirt is pretty sick.
